To be fair I cannot give this item a rating because it never made it to my house. After waiting and waiting I finally got an email saying I was being credited for a “return”. I called Amazon to see what happened since I never rec’d the mdse to return it! Come to find out it was damaged in shipment and I would have to go back online and re-order – something I chose not to do because with my first order I was getting free shipping and probably with the re-order I probably would have to pay. The whole process was a pain and totally inconvenient – if I do order again it will NOT be through Amazon.

This weeride is the worst front bike seat I have ever tried. I am returning it immediately. Buy the bobike mini from [...] instead (might be [...]). The weeride is awful for these specific reasons:

    1. the seat wobbles back and forth from side to side. It wobbles so much that my son hit his head on the handlebars of my bike. I had to ride the bike with my hands forward so that he wouldn’t hit his head. (comparison: the bobike mini does not move/wobble at all). The reason this thing (the weeride) wobbles is because –instead of being mounted directly to the bike itself— this weeride seat is mounted to a bar that is mounted to the bike. that is just ridiculous. what the hell kind of person designed this? could weeride not afford to hire an engineer to design this? an Engineer would never have designed a bike seat with such obvious flaws.

    2. It is near impossible to ride the bike with the weeride because it throws your weight off (the bobike is a piece of cake to ride with)

    3. it takes 20 minutes to install the weeride. It takes 5 minutes to install the bobike (much easier)

    4. the weeride has this awkward bar in between your legs & the seat bumps your knees. an awful design. the bobike has no such bar & does not bump your knees at all. (or at least much less than the weeride)

two small positives but they in no way make up for the overall horrible design and they should in no way encourage you to buy this piece of garbage.

    A. the harness on the weeride is better than the bobike. the bobike harness is essentially useless but hte weeride’s overall design is so horrible, the harness is not a big deal. (all you have to do is tie a string in the middle of hte bobike harness to make it work)

    B. The weeride can take up to 40 ish pounds whereas the bobike mini can take up to only 33 lbs. but really, don’t let that sway you. the weeride is such a piece of garbage, don’t waste your money.

in conclusion, whoever came up with the design of the weeride should immediately be fired from their job. this is such an awful bikeseat I would never EVER recommend it to anyone.

    cheers :)

I love bikes and I love even more to ride with my son (he is 18 months now). In a regular child bike seat, he/she is behind you, you can not communicate very well, plus you are obstructing his/her view. This is one has the best position. The only issue I see is that your kid will overgrow it within 12 months. So ride as often as you can.
