This is the first bike helmet I’ve ever owned. It fits comfortably, the straps are soft and don’t scratch your face. The easy dial at the back of the helmet to adjust the size of the helmet is a big plus. My only complaints about the helmet is that the plastic covering the helmet is cheaply glued to the Styrofoam. Also, the Styrofoam feels kinda cheap/flimsy. I kind of dented it accidentally when it hit the side of my desk. I don’t know if this happens to other helmets as I have nothing to compare it with. But overall, for the price its nice. Wish I spend 10 dollars more for the gyro though.

What can you possibly say about bicycle helmets? No helmet will win a fashion award, but this one is as good as they come. Haven’t tested it with an accident yet, but I do find it comfortable, easily adjusted for size and not all that bad looking. I didn’t feel the need to pay $80 for a helmet and compared it to others in a retail store before ordering from Amazon.

We bought the Thrasher helmet for our son-in-law for Christmas. He did extensive online research and this helmet was the best for the money. He loves it.

OK. Let’s just all agree that bicycle helmets are ugly and that it’s likely that you’ll feel ridiculous wearing one. Get over it! These days with increasing numbers of distracted drivers, you’d be crazy not to wear a helmet. That being said, the Schwinn Thrasher Helmet is a great choice. It is comfortable, adjustable and was even able to fit my giant head. It is sculpted to allow ample air flow to keep your head cool and the basic black/charcoal design keeps the look simple and clean. I don’t find the plastic visor to be of much use, but it can detached if necessary.
As a bonus, it is a “Best Buy” from Consumer Reports.
If you ride a bike don’t expect a baseball cap to protect you. You need a helmet and the Schwinn Thrasher Helmet is a good choice at a great price.

I have read many reviews on similar products before buying, but was attracted to this helmet mainly for the price. It turns out the helmet is very comfortable and attractive with it’s black composite type detailing. There is an easy to use knob adjustment that is infinatly adjustable between the largest and smallest opening. It fit me and my wife perfectly. Cannot go wrong at this price.
